At each step in my audio career, I’ve sought to teach others the skills I know. Because South Side Weekly is a community media organization, during my time as Executive Producer, I ran formal and informal audio training sessions to help members of the community learn the skills they needed to produce audio work.

I frequently guest lecture/mentor in colleagues youth radio classes, including IndyKids and Chicago’s After School Matters programs.

I was also a youth journalism mentor at Yollocalli—a South Side youth arts program—during the summer of 2018 and a curriculum developer and instructor for the youth podcasting initiative Blok by Blok from 2017 to 2019.
